Labourer

The Weeneebayko General Hospital is seeking applicants for a LABOURER/UTILITY PERSON on a continuous full time basis. Under the supervision of the Engineering Services Supervisor, you will assist the tradesmen in maintaining, repairing and installing equipment and/or structures; operate seasonal landscaping equipment and perform regular maintenance checks on hospital equipment and fixtures. This is an internal and external posting.

Basic Qualifications:

English is essential for this position
Successful completion of secondary school or work related experience
Previous working experience with various trades
Must be able to understand and follow instructions
Ability to lift and move material and equipment and work in a variety of seasonal environmental conditions.
Class G driver’s license required
Current certification in CPR, First Aid, WHMIS and Non Violent Crisis Intervention or willingness to obtain within a prescribed time frame.

Wage rate and benefits are in accordance with the current collective agreement.
