Physiotherapist

The Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin is seeking candidates for the full time position of Staff Physiotherapist. Under the general direction of the Manager of Clinical Support Services, the successful candidate must be able to make decisions and accept responsibility for all aspects of physiotherapy patient care; must plan and develop individual and small group physiotherapy treatment programs in Moose Factory and James Bay area; participate in multidisciplinary team conferences and family meetings; participate in education for other health professionals, community groups and agencies; recommends, prescribes and orders equipment for clients and assist in the delivery, installation and orientation of such equipment; supervise a physiotherapy aide and administers the departmental budget.

Qualifications:

Current registration with the Ontario College of Physiotherapists
Maintain voluntary membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
WHMIS
ADP and wheelchair authorizer
CPR
Previous clinical experience is desirable
Experience in instructing students is an asset
English is essential for this position

Wage and benefits are in accordance with the collective agreement.
