Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin

The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Weeneebayko General Hospital has some of the most leading edge technology available in the country. We also perform all types of general radiography and ultrasonography.
We have been completely film-less since 2002 when we integrated the AGFA PACS system. We have computer stations in the Emergency department, Family Medicine Clinic, and transport our portable unit to the OR. Your client’s images are a click of a mouse button away.
We are linked with the radiologists at Timmins and District Hospital. We are able to send our images to Timmins almost instantaneously, and radiologists are available to give their opinion, 24 hours a day seven days a week.
We have the country’s first telemammography unit. In 2005 we purchased a digital mammography unit (the eighth in the country) and are able to send our mammograms to Timmins via computer. We are able to get an opinion there from the radiologist if necessary.
Our services are always available (we are on call whenever the department isn’t open).
Come experience Diagnostic Imaging in the 21st Century!!
