Visiting Specialists
Supplementing the care provided by the full time medical staff, many specialty services are provided on-site on a periodic basis, by visiting specialists from Queen’s, McMaster and Western Universities. These specialists provide out-patient consultation clinics and perform diagnostic procedures and surgery.

The specialty services provided include: ophthalmology, paediatric ophthalmology, diabetic retinopathy, ENT, gynaecology including Colposcopy, urology, nephrology, neurology, internal medicine, rheumatology, orthopaedics, paediatric orthopaedics, general paediatrics, developmental paediatrics, paediatric cardiology including echocardiogram, respirology, and psychiatry.

Dialysis Unit

Weeneebayko General Hospital has recently been approved for (3) three additional dialysis machines, giving us a total of (7) seven machines.  This will allow more patients to return and reside in the Mushkegowuk Territory to receive their dialysis treatment.
